 Farm Island Bird Feeding Station
All photos by Doug Backlund

The Farm Island bird feeders are maintained by the Missouri Breaks Chapter of the National Audubon Society.  Feeding stations are placed in October and taken down in April. We use only black oil sunflower seed and suet. Most birds shown in this photo gallery are commonly seen at the feeders during the winter months.  Some are not as common, such as the Red Crossbill. Sharp-shinned Hawks will hunt around the feeders too, they prey on birds. There is always some action to watch at the feeding stations!
