A Blue/Dark Morph Ross's Goose at Bosque del Apache NWR? Part 2
January 7, 2013, Bosque del Apache NWR, New Mexico

Today I went hunting for the hybrid or possible blue morph Ross's Goose I saw a couple of days ago. Today, I found another one, but this one is different.
It has a white belly and the bill shape is an exact match for a Ross's Goose. I am sure now that the goose I saw before is a hybrid and that
this one is a true dark/blue morph of the Ross's Goose. They really do exist.

Bill like a Ross's Goose.

This one has a white belly.

Compare bills on white morph Ross's Goose and the blue morph Ross's Goose. Nearly identical, and there are faint tubercles on the blue morph bill.
