White Wagtail on the Ajo Water Treatment
Ponds, Pima County, Arizona
March 29, 2017
At 1:30 PM the wagtail was still there. It has been consistently in the NW
corner of the far pond, when looking in from the gate. This means that it can
move out of sight for extended periods of time. Based on the pale back and
breeding plumage, I would venture to say that this is the Siberian subspecies
Motacilla alba ocularis.
