The Iris Nebula. This is a total of 1.5 hours of exposure at f4 and ISO 3200, 500mm focal length.
The interstellar dust clouds and the bright, young star that create this nebula show up pretty well.

I had to try the Great Andromeda Galaxy with the new mount. This is an HDR version with 69 one minute exposures combined with 33 thirty second exposures.

The Surfboard Galaxy and the Owl Nebula. Located by the star Merak in the Big Dipper.
The Owl Nebula is a planetary nebula.

This is a galaxy I've long wanted to photograph. Last night I found it in the constellation Coma Berenices. The Needle Galaxy, NGC 4565. This galaxy is about 40,000,000 light years from us. It is located in the direction of the north galactic pole of the Milky Way Galaxy.
