A Trip to the Buckeye, AZ area and some other photos
January 17, 2017

A widefield view of the Orion constellation. At 35 mm focal length, the Great Orion Nebula looks pretty small. Betelgeuse is the orange star in the lower left. Barnard's Loop encloses the area below the Great Orion Nebula and Horsehead Nebula. In the upper right, the bright star is Rigel and the Witchhead Nebula above that. The large area of red nebulosity in the left center is the Lambda Orioinis, also known as SH2 264. I may need to work on this image some more, I think it can look much better than this, but too tired tonight.
