Another exciting night in the woods. A Flammulated Owl! I have never been able to even see one until last night. I have heard them a few times but this time I found the little owl, sitting high in a pine, close to the trunk. Very hard to spot. I'm shooting up at about a 70 degree angle and maybe 50 ft. high.
From a different angle, some of the tail is showing.
