Some photos from my camp near Ajo
January 27, 2016

I cranked the zoom lens up to 350mm, the Andromeda Galaxy
fills nearly 1/4 of the frame at that focal length. This is uncropped, just resized.
Its apparent size in the sky is nearly six times the width of the full moon, but
it is so faint that it is barely visible to the naked eye.

The Orion Nebula again, at 350mm.
